Key Stage 2: Cookery & Nutrition


The focus of this course is on cookery and nutrition.  This course provides an opportunity for children to continue developing essential nutritional cookery skills at home, when practicals might not be possible in schools! Also perfect for children working towards club badges.  The purchase includes access for up to 130 Students – £0.77 per student, free access for up to 5 teachers, accessible for 3 months (Sep to Nov, Dec to March, OR April to June)

This course includes 5 lessons taught by Aine Boyle, Dip NT, Nutritional Therapist, Chef and Health Coach and can be used as a discrete lesson pack and part of a blended learning approach.  Courses are interactive and engaging with a combination of follow along practical videos and quizzes.

Cookery course focusing on healthy food made simple for kids age 7-10 years with a basic knowledge of cooking. This course includes nutrition tips and advice on what to include in our meals and snacks to ensure kids are getting the nutrients they require as they grow.  This course is about teaching children where their food comes from and learning to cook from scratch quickly and simply while having lots of fun.  Aine focuses on taking popular favourite dishes and giving them a healthy twist to ensure that mealtimes are always fun.

Equipment needed:

Mix of pans, chopping boards, bowls, spoons, spatulas, kitchen scales and other basic kitchen equipment. Also access to a cooker and oven.

It is expected that parents OR teachers (if completed in school) accept full responsibility to ensure the safety of their child while following cooking practicals.

*Once purchased, please email to re-confirm the email address of the group leader you would like to manage the course and monitor student progress e.g. teacher/club leader.  Group leaders have the ability to add/edit users and are also provided with a GROUP CODE which they can give to students/members to register themselves.  Within the email you should also specify what months you require access e.g. Sep to Nov, Dec to March or April to June.

The course access/login details will be emailed to your group leader in advance of the term for intended use.  It can be purchased at any time during the academic year.
