During this lesson you will be applying your knowledge and understanding of Mexican folk art and Día de los Muertos. You will take a look at the the offerings know as Calavera.
We will look at symbolism and what each colour represents within the Calavera.
Students will create unique Calavera Sugar skull design. Students will learn how to grid up their skull resource and apply their chosen design.
Materials that you will need before we start this lesson: A4 Sketchbook, pencils HB/2B, sharpener, eraser, ruler, colouring pencils, markers and black sharpie pen.

Access to the internet to research : Day of the Dead & Mexican Folk Art. I recommend creating a Pinterest board with all your favourite imagery. Here’s my Pinterest board for your reference.
