Strength & Fitness Programme: Course 2, Age 11+
This Strength & Fitness programme follows on from our first Strength & Fitness Programme, to keep you challenged and making sure you have the opportunity to continue to develop. For secondary-school age children through to adults, this 4 lesson length and fitness course (20 videos) will leave you feeling full of endorphins, and physically challenged. The course might be particularly useful for young people who would like to improve their physical fitness, are in a sports team or studying GCSE Physical Education (PE)

This course is suitable for beginners through to those with more fitness experience,as you will have choice of difficulty level within each lesson. However, we recommend that you complete Strength & Fitness Programme, Course 1 before moving on to second course.
Lessons are taught by experienced Personal Trainers and Gymnastics Coaches, and are fully interactive to follow along in the comfort of your own home, outdoors, or in a gym setting.
Each lesson consists of the following…
- Warm Up
- Warm Up Circuit
- Circuit 1
- Circuit 2
- Circuit 3
- Cool Down
All exercises are demonstrated and explained with key coaching points, and are performed in real-time so you can follow along with the entire workout.
No specialist equipment is required for this course but for a small number of exercises, you will need the following:
*a soft floor e.g. carpet / rug / yoga mat / exercise mat
*a sturdy raised platform e.g. chair / sofa / step / box
*a sturdy wall
*a form of resistance e.g. long resistance band / rucksack / backpack so that objects like books or tinned food can be added to it for weight

Physical Activity Readiness Considerations
If you are not used to being very active, please consult with your doctor before participating in physical activity. To ensure minimal risk of injury and/or ill health, you should be in good physical condition before starting a new exercise programme.
If you are not feeling well because of a temporary illness, wait until you feel better before increasing your level of physical activity.
If you are, or may be pregnant, talk to your doctor before you start becoming more physically active.
When participating in any exercise or exercise course, there is the possibility of physical injury. Important Safety Considerations
It is important to have a responsible person 16+ years present nearby whilst you are participating in the practical elements of the course.
Make sure you stay hydrated during exercise, keep your water nearby to drink throughout the practical activities.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows free movement.
If you have any injuries, please ensure you do not complete any practical activities that you feel put your injury in a compromising position.
Do not attempt any practical activities that you feel are beyond your capabilities and will put you at risk of injury if you complete them. Scaling options are included throughout the course where relevant, so we hope there will be an appropriate variation to suit you.

By participating in this course, you confirm that you are in a state of general good health and wellbeing, and the effect of increased physical activity will in no way worsen your current physical condition, as advised by your GP.
