The course broadly follows the UK curriculum guidance for Key Stage 3 Music. The course runs on a 12-week term timetable, total 36 weeks over an academic year. The course has 12 lessons per term which can be completed at individual’s pace and each lesson averages 30 minutes. The course aims to provide students with a broad knowledge and skill set in music theory and styles, music performance, composition and provide a solid foundation for GCSE and further study in this subject area.

Film Music and Compositional Devices (Ostinato, Mickey Mousing, Leitmotiff), Texture and Dynamics, Range, Stage Presence, Composition (Melody, Harmony, Bassline, Counter melody, Chords, Rhythm, Structure and Texture).
